In this video Nikki Starostka shows us how to design a creature from sctrach. He starts out with doodling and goes in the end to a final design. Nikki is a young and very talented artist, within concept art and 3D. At the age of 20 years old Nikki is already on he second bachlor year.

Concept art is a great thing for CG Artists, it let's you try out different things before going into a 3D application. Which means you already know if your idea is good or bad. Designing a Creature is one of the most exciting challenges so we hope you will enjoy these videos.

I really like the video tutorials you have posted on youTube and also the wonder things that you have posted on your website. I have been working in 3dsMax for four years, and here I have been working in Maya for about a year and I have learned so much from your tutorials. Maya has begun to grow on me especially the animation part of maya, I definitly like it better then max just seems that you have move freedom with low and high poly models. I would like to make a quick suggestion about a tutorial though. If you could I would love to see more in depth with maya’s UV editor and what would be the best solution in greating great realtistic textures. Thanks again and cheers!
